I believe that Israel suffered from poor leadersdhip under Olmert, during the last campaign. Their performance was not that of typical Israeli counter attack. The liberal leaning prime minister had no war time experience, and the results were obvious.

Netenyahu, is a born leader and a true hawk. If brought back as prime minister, he will correct what needs to be corrected. He is not always the most diplomatic character on the scene, but he says what needs to be said, and he does what needs to be done!.

If Israel is provoked they defend themselves. If the Arabs would quit attacking Israel they would quit bombing them. Does Israel have a right to exist or do they not. Unless you have been living in a cave you know that the Arab world would commit genocide and wipe them off the face of the earth. All this hatred that is around the world is going to come to a head one day and it wont be a pretty site.

Hi 'shortdude42004', how is it going? Look, Israel was totally wrong to have started the conflict even if they had been provoked by some militants in Lebanon, not by the Lebanese government. Of course, obviously, they did not succeed in achieving what they had thought of, though wrongly again, and it was indeed a severe blow to the present Israeli government and a gift to the former Israeli prime minister (a well-known war-monger) in death bed! Maybe, for all his atrocities while in power, he will continue to suffer in silence in his death bed for a long time to come!

typical spin

The Maariv poll showed 73 percent of Israelis opposed future unilateral withdrawals

that is the reason, they didn't want the confrontation to stop!!! I think they should have obliterated Hezbollah like they planed and not gave in to a silly cease fire. The UN should have disarmed Hezbollah before any of this happened. So if you want to blame anyone blame the UN for not doing its job

Israel was right to bomb them, Olmert did fight the war completely wrong, I am not sure what to think of the news coverage though.

I don't agree with them. It also kills innocent civilians. Fighting is not a good thing both sides should talk.
