Looking between these two as my first car. Looking for a car with muscle and horsepower that i can modify a little. ex. exhaust, cold air intakes, little stuff.

Let me tell you this. The mustang is the easiest to build up. The motor is strong as hell. Why? because the have forged pistons from factory. Just remember when your pushing 300 HP from any stock motor. Your asking for trouble always tear it apart and add ARP crap . Mustangs are also cheap to build up if your smart.

Seems that Hondas are the car of choice. You can modify them. If you pick the Nissan, you may as well just get a Honda. Imports cost more to repair, but at least Hondas have a good repair record. Don't waste your money on a Mustang, unless it is from the 60's or an F series truck.

My friend has a 89 ford mustang. He beats it in the field and it keeps lasting so I would pick one of them.

Do some research on costs for both cars., for modification. Consider your time, if your doing it and MONEY.
