I have 4 cats so I have alot of nasty furballs to clean up and I flush them all the time. Ive had my cats for 13 years now and never had the toilet back up. Its safe.

Yes, there will be no problem. Your wife must be thinking of ordinary sink or bathtub drains. They are very small. Your toilet has a 3 or 4 inch drain. Nothing that small is going to clog it and it will wash down.

Rule of thumb (or butt)--don't flush anything down bigger than what you ordinarily deposit in the toilet. If the hairball is bigger than that, you must have a lion.

HI
whats done is done, but I would not do it again. Just to be safe I would go to your nearset Home Depot and ask for some anti clogging stuff just in case..
