Ok, I haven't read the story but I just want to say...as a BLACK person that sometimes those children do come from dysfunctional homes...as well, could a WHITE, ASIAN, PURPLE, HISPANIC or YELLOW child could have the same problems. It seems that the spotlight is more on blacks because it's the image that people have of us (such as the ignorant Leif Erickson). I must add that yea, if a child, any child, comes from a bad background they will act out to get attention that they don't get from home or they will repeat behaviors seen at home. This is all dependent more on the child's prior learnings with their family & their interactions with their surroundings.

alright lets start off by getting rid of the race thing,or maybe not.I'm of the thought or delusion that this might all co inside with children having children thing.Think about it ; We now have kids out there being raised by kids that were raised by kids and so on .and with this comes tons of social problems.like how does a child teach right and wrong when that child hasn't been taught theses things fully themselves.and how do they learn about authority when some counselor comes in[ with good intentions] and after five minutes take away any authority you had held over your child. and thereby teaching sed child that listening to there parents, adults or fa lowing rules if they don;t like them is unnecessary.thus not being part of the social group, leaving teachers that are unable but mostly unwilling to teach theses skills morals and structure with no other chose but to through the child to the streets.

Most likely it is because of the way that they are raised. In the ghetto they grow up seeing that life is comparable to the jungle. They need to act tough at all times to survive.

This does not work in a school setting, where compassion and sharing are the most important values. Those are just thing that their parents don't teach them.

The parent (not grammar error) needs to learn that they can't keep reinforcing this as a norm for their children to survive in society. (Using T-Bo, the local drug dealer and gangster as a role model is also bad)

I don't know the answer to this one, but to Leif Ericson, you're the moron and ignorance like yours sets the world back 25 years.

Probably because they come from bad homes where the father (if there is one) is always yelling at or beating on the mother, etc. So, they're violent and disruptive in class just as they see at home. Oh, sorry, I mean "CUZ THA PRESKOOLS DONT LIKE BLACKS LOL!!!"

Because they are natural born assholes, behavioral problems and morons. People will say, "integration set the schools back 25 years." Wrong. It set the school system back permanently to a dumbed down ***** level.
