I was going to loan a friend my tent for camping this weekend but I don't have any more room in my car to transport it all. (Mainly, I am having problems with the poles - they won't fit!)
I mentioned my problem to a female co-worker and she said that I could put my pole in her trunk after we are done working. She also wanted to know the size of the pole to make sure it would fit because her trunk is roomy but not oversized.
To make a long story short, my supervisor overheard the conversation and demanded I meet with her on Monday to review the harassment policy.
What did I say wrong?

you are silly. that did not happen, but it was YOUR VIVID IMAGINATIVE THINKING!! ....seriously, my company just had us all take a sexual-harassment class this week, because of a JILTED lover who filed charges. When the company gets SUES, everyone stops laughing!! We are afraid to even talk to each other now, for fear someone will MISINTERPRET our words!! Your comment is a case-in-point!!...hahaha

If that's all you said, no problem. Sounds like the supervisor just came in on the tail-end, and it sounded like something was going on. Now, if you were like,"My pole is pretty big, we might have to lube it up to squeeze it your trunk", you might have some problems.

FUNNY! BUT THE FEMALE CO-WORKER SHOULD SEE
THE SUPERVISOR TOO,FOR TELLING U TO PUT YOUR
POLE IN HER TRUNK!
DON'T WORRY,JUST TELL YOUR SUPERVISER THE STORY
MAYBE SHE WILL LET U BUT YOUR POLE IN HER TRUNK!

If this was truly all that was said, you have nothing to worry about. Your super could also speak with your co-worker to clear up any misunderstandings.

Ha Ha!! She didnt' hear the full story! It's really funny!

Don't get upset over this, I think your supervisor would need a hole to hide him/herself later when things are explained.

nothing...but you do understand why there would be a misread if supervisor wasnt in the whole discussion. you'll probably just be lectured and hopefully they question your co-worker to back you up...good luck

you didnt harrass her. your superviser just misunderstood what you meant when you said: "my pole in her trunk".
