John is definately my favorite. He was a true individual and made a real effort to make the world a better place. That is commendable. I remember so vividly the night he was shot. And, I kid you not, the very moment his death was announced on the news, we had a glass candle holder that said "Peace" sitting on top of the TV, it shattered.
Last year, I saw Paul McCartney in concert. He was very entertaining. Not a huge fan of his more recent music but he put on a good show, really knew how to draw in the audience. Having said that, there has always been something phony and commercial about him. I can't put my finger on it. I admired his late wife Linda more.
George Harrison was also a great talent. Ringo Starr is just goofy, lol. No offense to any of his fans.

Has to be Stu Scutliffe hands down. John wrote how he was a loser, spoilt the party, needed help and was left by all of his lovers for being a sexual dud and a loser. Yoko took him in and exploited him and she would beat him up in public and break his glasses in front of his mates. On acid John would spend all night at parties taking pictures under tables and laughing like an over the top school girl. When he came home from tour to Cynthia he was spend all day chain smoking pot and watching TV with the sound off. Finally John went into major depression from the drugs and the idea that all his solo material was "dog ****". He wound-up staying at home and having panic attacks. It has been scientifically determined that is was his voice calling up Pat Robertsons people from the 700 Club for help. Yoko denies this because she is so ashamed that John was trying to become a Christian. Wow, sounds like a cool role model that the girls could love to me...
Stu taught John everything he learnt about philosophy and was a great artist. He was a sensitive guy who actually cared about other people. Unfortunately, he died of a brain tumor just as the Beatles were starting to get famous...

As an artist and musician, John was (and still is) most definitely the most influencial. It's interesting how he is now quoted on the same level as Oscar Wilde or even William Shakespeare!!!
As a person, though, my own favourite is and will always remain George. Because of his spiritual insight, his personality, his commitment to various causes and his mean guitar...

I've been asked this question many times. It depended on my age. As a kid, I saw their movies first run, it was Ringo. He was a goof-ball, and played drums with a cigerette hanging out of his mouth. As i grew up I liked George. He had the whole spiritual thing going on and that appealed to me. Later still, John became the one. I liked his cynicism, and his questioning attitude. Earlier this year my girlfriend and I went to NYC and saw Strawberry Fields for the first time. While I enjoyed it, it was smaller than I expected.

I never really had a favorite, but my dad always admired John. In fact, the night John Lennon got shot my dad woke me up and told me. He was really sad.

All of them were hippy pot-heads and should not have had such influence on our kids.
I dislike all of them.
