On your browser menu go Tools>Internet Options then click on the "clear history" button. You could also set the days to keep pages in history to 0 so you don't have to do this anymore...

There are too many softwares to clear and clean history. sometimes you can find a history cleaner in software that you installed for another use ( like ZONEALARM )
but if you use FIREFOX it allow you to Clear all your private data easily any time you want or set a situation or time to do it.

tools>internet options>delete history and voila all is gone....
