Put the engagement ring on your right hand for the ceremony. After, you can switch it over to the left.
The proper etiquette is that the wedding band goes on first, then the engagement ring. The reasoning is that the wedding ring should be closer to your heart.
The old belief was that the ring finger on your left hand was the closest finger to your heart; the blood went directly from your finger to the heart.

It all depends if you are getting a wedding band or a wrap then you usually have them attached together at a jeweler before the wedding and it gets put on your finger at the wedding. If not you take you engagement ring off so that he can put it on you in the wedding. If you are just getting a weddineg band alot of women keep there engagment ring on and just have the band placed on next to it durning the wedding and later have then attached...

precise. You placed on in basic terms the engagement ring till the marriage. once you get married, the engagement ring comes off, and you place the marriage band on first (closest on your coronary heart) then the engagement ring is going lower back on your finger after the band. have been given it?

i didn't during the ceremony because i had the band and the ring fused together. you could though...and now i always have my engagment ring on with the band (obviously since they are attached)
usually the wedding band goes on the bottom with the engagement ring on the top

well i can tell u what i did . i took it off during the ceromony so that my wedding ring is closer to me since that means more than the engage ment ring then i put the engagement on top of the wedding ring. but it can be worn any way u r comfortable with

YES!!! I wear my wedding band first, then my engagement ring.
During the wedding ceremony, I wore my engagement ring on my right hand, so my left one was free to slip on the wedding band as he said, " with this ring, I thee wed"....after the church, I put my engagement ring back on my left hand, on top of the wedding band
