Geeks are very polarized on this movie. Those who hated it point to the fact that Jean's metamorphasis into a bad guy is handled so differently than in the comics and that Cyclops was killed off in such a throw-away manner. Those who loved it point out that the third movie follows along in the same style and adhering to the comic would've been too weird for the general public.
How did you non-geeks, non-comic fans, regular everyday people enjoy the movie?

I loved it and do see room for a fourth movie where we may all be shocked to what may happen. Those who didn't like it expected it to follow the comic, and it wasn't going to. None of the superhero movies have to a T. I enjoyed X2 the most so far.

I thought it was great. There were some parts I could change, but the overall movie was very good, considering the new director. I loved how Storm was fighting and being strong like the fans wanted. Wolverine was very tough. I thought that killing Cyclops was ok because he was becoming annoying with seeing him alays sad and nver fighting. Jean killing the professer sucked, all he wanted to do was help and he ended up exploding. But the action scenes and direction was awsome 4 out of 5 stars.

I'm not a fan of superhero movies at all but I enjoyed watching X-Men 3. I like how Jean Grey was a bad guy. Since I don't follow the comics at all, it was a welcomed surprise. I think that this movie might even be the best one because of all the characters they have like Juggernaut.

I loved it! Thought it was awesome. Didn't care too much for the Phoenix and was a little taken back when Cyclops "died", but you know HOllywood. Once dead, NEVER really dead! lol It is definitely coming into my dvd collection when they release all 3 as a box set!

I THOUGHT IT WAS AWFUL!!!! THE PLOT HAD HOLES AND THE CASTING WAS REALLY BAD!! THE ONLY GOOD THING WAS THE SPECIAL EFFECTS! (I KNOW A FEW COMIC THINGS HERE AND THERE BUT I'M NOT A FAN) THE FIRST 2 WERE SO MUCH BETTER, MOST LIKELY BECAUSE THEY CHANGED DIRECTOR. NOT RECOMMENDED.

I liked it they have to make it pleasing for every one every nerd dork or geek thinks sci-fi movies are just for them and get pissed over the smallest details they need some real sex not with their computer

It was a good movie, it was much better than 1st or 2nd. but i do have to agree handled cyclops death in a "throw-away matter". But thats hollywood.

i loved it alot...i don't read the comics, but i felt all the movies were portrayed in a good manner.

I liked it but didnt get that into it or notice anything different. But that's just me. Not only geeks like XMen.
