The fallopian tubes often have small cysts around their open ends. They are almost always less than 1cm in diameter and are seen at a laparoscopy operation or occasionally on an ultrasound scan. These types of cyst are probably present from birth and have no effect at all on fertility. They are given several different names, most commonly 'parafimbrial' cysts because they are situated next to the fimbrial end of the tube. They are completely different from the cysts of polycystic ovaries.

I agree with the above but I had secondary infertility: I had microsurgery done in Sheffield over 20 years ago. The cysts were not diagnosed until they had a good look at the beginning of the surgery. They removed these cysts because they said they were causing the ovarian end of the fallopian tube to drag downwards reducing the chance of conception. My other tube was totally blocked so they left it alone. And then 6 weeks later I found out I was PREGNANT!! My son is now 22 so if this is your problem do not loose hope! Good luck.
