The above article appeared on Forbes.com....Why does everyone get bent out of shape when a guy has the cajones to tell the truth? The family is the most important pillar of society, and women have the important job of keeping the family stable....when did it become unacceptable to tell the truth??????

Yes the wife is the backbone of the family...behind every good man is a great woman...and the moral fiber that a woman stay home and raise the children is an absolute luxury that any good man would Cherish. But if the woman was an executive when the man met her...he should have either not been looking there to meet his mate, or at least found out what her goals were and if ever going home to raise a family was a part of her goals before pursuing a courtship with her. First of all a courtship with a person, male or female, needs to be a respectful one and sack hopping distorts issues like these from surfacing until someone gets hurt or offended. If people could keep their clothes on and not indulge in their lusts then there would be successful courtships that lead to successful marriages...A courtship offers
time before the big question.... and opportunity to resolve many things such as issues as these...Ever read books written by Joshua Harris?

I think that there is a lot of truth to the article. Back before women had careers, when they were kept as virtual prisoners in their own homes, only allowed out to go to church, they were much less likely to want a divorce or to cheat because they didn't know anyone else and didn't have any options.

This is not really an argument about women staying at home vs. having careers. It's about whether women should make a contribution to our society themselves or should women play a supporting role to their husbands who are the main players.

For men who applaud this article, I wonder why you would want someone who feels "trapped" into being with you and stays because she has no choice financially. Is that what you'd like to come home to night after night?

It's not the 1970's any more!! Get with it. I am a bright and intelligent woman and mother of 3! I hold together a family and a career. I love my children to death but my mind needs more then a 7 year olds opinion and stimulation! I honestly believe there is a sense of jealousy in a man who thinks his woman should be a stay at home mom! Are you worried I might make a little more money then you? My husband couldn't handle it. So now I am a SINGLE career woman and mother of 3! And still hold it together better then most men could.

Well then marry some one who would be excepting of just being a stay at home mom, which there is nothing wrong with. The problem now a days is it is hard to make it on one income. I wish that I was able to stay home with my kids
