Hezbollah now says they got more than they expected. This report shows Hezbollah knew Israel would respond with an attack. but the vastly under estimated how hard Israel would strike back. And just maybe they over estimated the amount of damage their rockets would do. Either way what were they thinking? Or should I say did they even think?

Zach- What Israel did isn't a war crime. Attacking someone who attacks you is just war. Look up the definition of war crimes BEFORE you accuse anyone of a war crime.

I would like to offer my response to your question.

I do not want to disparage anyone. But I must use words
that may sting.

As far as I am concerned Hezbollah is nothing more than a group of lost souls and Terrorists!

What did they expect from a soverign nation like Israel?

Just imagine for a moment that you are a citizen of any nation in the world you choose. Then imagine some outside group started shooting rockets at you and your fellow citizens. Ask yourself this one question. What is the government of my country going to do about this?

Israel responded absolutely correctly!

I don't know who you are or where you come from but I am an American. I sleep safely at night because I know my government would bring to bear as much force as possible toward any group ignorant enough to do what Hezbollah did to Israel.

Israel did the right thing to protect their citizens. Instead of being a part of the problem Hezbollah needs to re-examine thier role and do whatever it takes to become a part of the solution.

Have fun but be safe.

Both sides knew and know that an attack was imminent. It has nothing to do with thinking or not. Hezbollah just didn't expect the Israelis to attack so soon, they expected the attack in September. For me the article shows clearly that the abduction of the two Israeli soldiers had nothing to do with the real reason for invading Lebanon, and to me that shows it is an act of true State Terror from one state against the other. Look at the amount of ammo used against Lebanon, it is completely out of proportion. The whole invasion was a total waste of time because Hezbollah disappears underground while civilians take the toll.

You people still do not understand.. It was NOT just Hezbollah or Lebanon.. it was IRAN using Hezbollah IN Lebanon against Israel as a test to find out HOW they would respond.. It was a test by Iran and nothing more. Iran intends on destroying Israel and it is not sure just how they should start and the War that THEY (IRAN) started in Lebanon was a test to find out how they will proceed with the next encounter with Israel

Israel should be invaded for War crimes against Lebanon.

They had not right to attack or invade an part of Lebanon.

It would be like the US invaded Mexico to find kill 100 named people.

Saddam Husein did the same thing with the first Gulf War. He had no clue of the weaponry the US possessed. He truly thought he could win. That's what happens when leaders shelter themselves.
