I think there are several different factors that make some people hate. It is a sad thing.
The best way to approach this is through positive reinforcement. They may have had a really lousy upbringing that hindered them from seeing real beauty of life .
The key is to stop the repetitive unhealthy behavior... So showing genuine Love is the answer! ♥

People hate because they are unhappy. They don't have Jesus! They have not found their place in life yet. There are a lot of unhappy and mean people in this world, if you run into one pray nice for them and leave it alone and watch God take care of it. Ask God to help that person with their problem. And he will. He will also help you with something alone your way because you prayed nice for someone else. May God bless everyone on this page and their families and friends.

They hate because they feel without understanding why they feel that way. They hate because they feel impotent and unable to change what angers them to something that fits into their comfort zone. They hate what they won't/can't/don't understand.

because they're either misguided or are very angry at someone. Maybe someone did something horrible to them and they have no choice but to hate that person
