Yes, but unfortunately it's only once in a blue moon that a really sensible question is posted, and then I enjoy giving a good, helpful answer if it's within my experience or knowledge. This happened to me only yesterday when I was able to give reassurance and guidance to a person who requested some help on a medical matter. (For obvious reasons, I'm not going into details here).
ON THE OTHER HAND, there are some real prattish questions that appear - religion and politics are the worst offenders - and they just don't warrant sensible or reasonable answers simply because no single person can give an answer that would be anything more than an opinion, and that helps nobody. When I see these silly questions, the points window swings into view, and I pretend I'm at the same age as the questioner appears to be and I give a silly, short answer and let the points roll in with no effort on my part. And beware anybody who doesn't read their question over before they post it (to make sure it makes sense!) and even worse.... those who can't even be bothered to click on the 'Check Spelling' button first, although Yahoo can come up with some stupid things at times - just try typing in the word offens i v e without the spaces and see what rubbish it comes up with! Bad spelling especially, really annoys me as there's no excuse for it (unless you use that dreaded word as above!!!) and I regard it as an insult to my intelligence.
Anyway, thanks for an enjoyable question. I enjoy something I can get my teeth into! Best Wishes, Eb#

Yes, it makes me feel really good. I have some experience being on the receiving end of domestic abuse. And when I see someone in here going through that, I give my advice and encouragement. It feels good to know I can help someone. One lady even opened up a new question to thank me personally.sc

Yeah and it's weird how there is a connection...

However, something that never ceased to amaze me is that as we meet new people, our story gets connected with theirs. We have a connection and we may even get to know more about each other or never meet again. But the story stays there.

I have seen many problems here on Yahoo! Answers and most of them stay with me. Although, it feels great to help out.

Stay safe.

I sincerely think so myself. I guess it is the reason why I go to this site few hours a week if my schedule is permitting. I also post my own questions and I find that people ANSWERS are truly sincere and for that I am grateful, just like yourself.

Yes, there is a kind of satisfaction in being able to find the information someone is looking for, and also in the communication that often happens with them afterwards.

Yes it feels amazing especially when they pick my answer as their favorite, then I know that they benefited from it and that was my goal for answering their question in the first place.
