General Computer information!?

Hey..im heading back into computer sales to the general public after taking a year break!to get more confidence about what i know and read about new products..can anyone reccommend any good sites where i can read up on processors, ram, hard drives..

You can read up on new computer products in computer magazines such as PC World, PC Magazine, Computer Shopper, Computer World, and Smart Computing.

Join some Yahoo groups, and hear what people have to say.

Then look at http://www.cnet.com and see what is popular.

Today, it's all about Thumb Drives, Dual Core, LCD Monitors, Wireless (yet troublesome) Networks, High Speed Internet and Routers, Optical mouse, DVD Burners, External Hard drives, MP3 players, iPods, downloads.

But then there are still Viruses, SpyWare, Computer Maintenance, backups, Power Conditioners, whole house voltage regulators and UPSs.

cnet.com usually has good insights to new products. Also may wanna try finding the site for PCMag and Computer Shopper Magazine. Those also have good knowledge about new and upcoming products.
