A woman can bear children as soon as she menstruates, meaning this could start as early as 8, but more likely by the time you're12-13 years old. By the time you're in your mid to late forties, you should be hitting menopause and then the reproductive years are over.
Physically, it would be possible for a woman to give birth every year of her reproductive life. If you do the math and take a woman who got r first period at age 12, and went into menopause at 42, this woman could have 30 kids. If you think that's farfetched, think about the average size of a family in the 19th century, or turn of the century. You would find families of 11 and even 19 or 20 kids.

I grew up in a Catholic community in the Sixties/Seventies and attended school with kids who had as many as fifteen siblings. So, obviously some women can bear many children. But we also know that many cannot.
In theory, every woman is fertile from the time of her first menses to menopause -- that means from fifteen to thirty years. But very few women are capable of bearing a child every year, at least not without paying a high price in terms of their health; therefore the actual upper limit for the average woman, must be much lower.

I remember a former neighbour who gave birth to 12 kids.
I once saw a program on TV about the then largest family in Belgium, at the time they had 17 kids. There were just 2 parents in the family, so the children had all the same birth mother!

I'd say 13-40 yrs old. So that's about 28 yrs or 336 months. If you figure she gets pregnant every 9-12 months (average 10.5 months), then 32 pregnancies are possible.
So the average woman likely has the potential to produce between 0 and 32 children.

Had a neighbor when I was a kid.
She had 22, before her mid 40s.. All Irish redheads.
Her eldest daughter was the first "Coca Cola" girl, on posters.
My mother had 10 by her 48th birthday, the youngest, my sister.
7 of us lived.
