I know a jeweler in Cincinnati, Ohio who could make an earring for you, as an exact duplicate of the one you lost.

Perotta Jewelers
Warsaw Street
Cincinnati, OH

You'll have to look him up in the tele. book.

I don't know a company that locates them for you but any decent jeweller (generally independant rather than chain) will be able to make a matching one for you.

I had this exact problem a couple of years ago and a jeweller based in Bourton on the Water, in the Cotswolds made me a replacement earring that matched perfectly.

Try www.yell.com to find your local jewellers. Good luck

Any good jeweler should be able to do this to order, but be prepared to pay. And be careful, some jewelers have been known to switch jewels for paste....
I just had this happen to me, lost a Christmas present earring in green agate, it may have gotten sucked up in the hoover...agony! Because by the time I realised it was gone it was waaaay too late.

Have you tried contacting the jewellers your friend bought them from to see if they can obtain a replacement?

If you don't have any joy there or don't know which jewellers, take it to any jewellers. The hallmark indicates who manufactured or at least who had it hallmarked, so you may be able to trace the origin that way.

Good Luck

You could try and find a proper jeweller who can duplicate it but I don't think it's easy. In the meantime wear your hair in such a way as to show only one ear with the remaining earring in !!
