The problem is once you finish the SAP training, you will join in as a trainee and than you will have to wait for a good opportunity in which you are assigned an important task. By the time you 40 you may have experience of implementing complete SAP life cycle. Once you have that than you get good opportunities in many organisations but they require a lot of effort. I many of the job descriptions they explicitly mention they need a person who has energy level of 30 years old.

Its up to you will you be able to do that.

Comanies are likely to be prejudices because of your age and as you said you do not have a lot of experience in IT. if you want good work you need extensive experience in IT.

Check out job opportunities for SAP and you will see the companies are very demanding.
Than you can make your decision.
