I think any words that make you vulnerable or that takes a toll on your pride are the hardest things to say. Things like sorry, love, admitting defeat or wrong doings are all touchy subjects that people struggle with.

Admitting! By that I mean admitting you were wrong or stole or lied can be a really hard "word" to deal with. Sort of goes along with responsibility and accountibility.

It's easy to say "I'm sorry" but "I apologize" has more depth and, to me, means more. These days, "I'm sorry" is the same as "My bad " which I abhor! I need to write Elton and ask him to revise his lyrics...LOL!
