men are frequently by what is occurring/not occurring in their life.
the greatest area of unhappy is with his sex life, or lack thereof.
men often build their identity on the basis of their sex life. if a man is in a sexless relationship, or is suffering from erectile dysfunction; it's bound the create feelings of unhappiness. sex is a wonderful act shared between two consenting adults. i know from first had experience that life without sex does not make for a happy man.
i also believe that men need to know that they are GREAT providers for their spouse (partner) and children. this concept goes all the way back to cave men; men are the hunters, protectors, providers. when a man doesn't feel that he lives up to these expectations, it's bound to make him unhappy.

I think its a very good observation.
Most men are incapable of showing outward happiness for
1) fear of loosing happiness, as it is transient.
2) could be some form of taboo
3) could be ego problem
4) like to wallow in sadness
5) need of attention / sympathy
6) they consider 'glee' a girlie trait not macho

Maybe because some of them want everything, now. They aren't content with what they already have and feel as if they need more, to be happy, when in reality, more just adds to the headaches.
just a thought
