I only remember one of the key's name and data. The name was LocationInformation I think(I'm not sure) & the data is UNKNOWN DEVICE or something (I'm sure about the UNKNOWN). Someone pleases help me re-create that key!(Or suggest any other way to fix it) I'm desperate!

You might have to use the RESTORE feature. Go to the System Tools section of Accessories (Program section of your START MENU).

In the future, it might be a good idea to not delete registry keys. That is a very quick way to completely hose your operating system.

If you can't get windows to detect ANY new hardware at all, boot windows into safe mode (F8 while the computer is booting) and run System Recovery. Choose a date from a few days before you made the change to the registry.

If thise doesn't work, try your hardware device on another computer and see if you have the same trouble, If you do NOT, then the problem is with your computer and I would suggest reinstalling windows.

If you DO have the same problem on another computer, then your issue is with the peice of hardware itself, or how you are trying to install it. Check with the manufacturer.

Restore back to the point before you did this.
And, just an added note... Never mess with the registry..

If you are using winXP use system restore. For any other version older than XP, simply reinstall the os. That's what I know.

put your xp disc in the drive
use run and type in sfc /scannow

try a repair reinstall.it should fix any blunders made
