nature has a thing that's called "payback"...nobody should ever think that someone who has done something bad or hurtful will get away with it.
You asked about cheating but I can only provide info on other type of cheating situations. For instance, if you cheat on your resume the boss will find out and you'll not only lose your job but you'll be embarassed in front of people who will remember you later.
Surely you remember the situation President Clinton found himself in. And how about Nixon? Enron, etc. Cheating is cheating. Nobody gets away with it.
People "do" change though, when they get tired of the treatment they get from their error. God forgives people so why shouldn't we.

I posted this saying in a response to another question.
"Once a cheater. Always a cheater"
Leopards don't change thier spots ok. A cheater may have a dry spell where they don't cheat for awhile. But sometime donw the road. They r gonna do it again.

Well the saying what comes around, goes around comes to mind.
But thats not always the case, but the truth always reveals itself one way or another and will eventually show itself at the most inconvient time.
Till then the person has to deal with the constant pressure of keeping the lie and hoping the other person never finds out.
I have never understood the whole mentality behind cheating, why get in a relationship if you cant be faithful & honest???

I'd like to think it possible that experience being the best teacher a person that strayed or betrayed another's trust and love, could learn from their mistake and never do so again. But as human beings it seems if you get by once and think you didn't get caught then you won't the next or the next. Just like the line in the Gone With The Wind movie...she's not sorry she did it, only sorry that she got caught doing it.

i'm not exactly certain of what your question is but, i will try to answer as to what i think it is...
i personally don't think that cheaters are the kind of people that you want to keep around. it has been my experience that a cheater doesn't cheat just once. and even if it was just one time, what kind of person are they to do such a thing to someone who they ''care about''? good people don't want to hurt loved ones. my father was having an affair most of my childhood. i found out about it and never looked at my father in the same way. he not only disrespected my mother but, he put my siblings and me right out there with mom. as of nearly four years ago, he is no longer with that other woman however, i can not trust him and i think that he is a bad example of a father/husband. what kind of man would do that to his family? my parents just celebrated their 27th anniversary and i can say that most of them are not worth celebrating. as far as him ''getting his'', my mom never cheated on him, but he knows that we no longer have the utmost respect for him.

I believe in Karma. But is he still your boyfriend? If so, and he really has changed and you want to stay his girlfriend then you should forgive him. If he is not your boyfriend, just move on and stop worrying about it. Eventually, someone will break his heart too.
