MySQL batch file - outputting error messages.

Hi all,
I am new to this so apologies if this is a basic question.
I have created a SQL batch file and want to output both the SQL
commands and DBMS error messages to an output file (similar to Oracle
with the echo command switched on).
e.g. Running at the command line gives me this
E:\>mysql -t -vw -f -h host -u user -p < E:\create_db.sql >
E:\create_db.log
Enter password: ****
ERROR 1007 (HY000) at line 1: Can't create database 'test'; database
exists
ERROR 1396 (HY000) at line 2: Operation CREATE USER failed for
'TEST'&'%'
When I check the log file I get this:

CREATE DATABASE TEST
--------------
--------------
CREATE USER TEST IDENTIFIED BY 'XXX'
--------------
How do I get the logfile to show the ERROR messages? Is this a command
line option. I can get full output using -tee, but not as part of a
batch.
Please give an example if possible.
