I live in california, and I have a friend who's a girl (17) who wants to get a tongue ring, and her bellybutton pierced. My question is since she's a minor does she need someone with her over 18? 21? Parents only?
If you know the california law on this please help me, thanks!

under 18 ONLY a parent or legal guardian (and theyd best have court doc. to prove the legal guardianship)

I looked up the piercing laws for California, and it said you had to be 18 to get a body piercing. But most likely all she'll need is for one of her parents to sign a permission slip, and then probably one of her parents to be present when she gets it done.
