The Canon S2 IS is the best you can get (it says like 349 for a price, but when you add to cart it drops to 299, and Circuit City will match the internet price) (also it is on clearance because they just released the Canon S3 IS, which has a whole whopping one extra megapixel for $150 more)
Next up is the Kodak 650 or 740
Main thing to look for in a digital camera is it's OPTICAL zoom capabilities not its total zoom. Once you hit the digital zoom everything gets pixelated.
Why the Canon, kick **** video capabilities (you can use the zoom and color schemes while filming and audio sounds great, and you can take pictures while taking video at the same time), turnable LCD screen prevents scratching and lets you do more angles, 12x optical zoom, great quality, LCD screen goes into view finder when closed, image stability, and thus far hasnt killed the four alkaline batteries that were provided ( ihave used it everyday since thursday).
Downside, doesnt come with a rechargable battery, doesnt do the whole camera port thing like kodak, doesnt have a motion setting for pictures.

These are both great camera brands, one uses a memory stick and one an SD card. I like the sony better, nevertheless you really can't go wrong with either one. I have owned both.

I have a sony cybershot and absolutely love it. My wife does as well (she already had it when we started dating, and a good friend of mine has a sony cybershot.

Canon Powershots are the best, IMO.

i hav sony cyber shot according to me it is better,worth buying.clarity is excellent!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Ur wish.better put inky pinky ponky..........
