Short cycle. Sounds like you've lost the air charge in the pressure tank.

Mr. Know it all is close, but instead of 20 pounds do 40 pounds other wise your taps will only give you 20 pounds of pressure out of your taps. Also if that doesn't work you need a new pressure tank. New ones are very efficient. If you don't fix this problem soon you will burn your pump out.

On the top of your water pressure tank is a schrader valve (looks like a tire valve).

Turn off the breaker to the pump.
Open a faucet to release the water pressure.
Use a tire pump to pre-pressurize you're tank to about 20 psi.
Turn off your faucet,
Turn on you pump circuit breaker.
