Okay,here in Singapore it's not often seeing someone wearing braces. I just got one and one of my friend said that It's less attractive for a teenager like me wearing braces and it bothers me A LOT especially when I talk to someone. I think what she said affected my self confidence so much..So, do you think people who wear braces are less attractive?..

It is what is inside that counts, braces are only temporary, I had braces and I called myself "TinselTeeth", I didn't think I was less attractive, they straightened my teeth and I felt better about my looks. You just have to be careful when you are eating and sometimes they do hurt. Don't worry about what others think of your braces, they are there to straighten your teeth, enjoy your teenage years. Nope, if you're fine, you're fine. But if your braces lower your self esteem, you'll be less attractive because other people will pick up on your lack of confidence. So wear them with pride, smile a lot, and hold your head up. Hell, you're going to have them anyway so you might as well make the best of it:)

People who have braces are doing something to improve themselves. There is no reason to be ashamed of them.. Be proud, you are doing something positive. Perhaps your friend is a bit jealous, that you will be so beautiful when those braces come off. Smile, sweetie. Show them off. You are beautiful and will be more beautiful when they come off.

well, i hafta get braces next year. but there are like 4-5 girls on my basketball team w/ them and they look fine. lots of guys are wearing them and they look well, they aren't hot. but they are popular.

P.S. If she was really your friend then why is she telling you that? I would get red hot MAD if my one of my friends told me that. Then again, if you want your friends to call you ugly, then go right ahead and do so. I mean, I don't mean you're ugly, but your friend was basically calling you ugly.

dnt worry about what people sayyy. braces makes you unique.

Nope, it's your attitude that counts. just dont think that braces are less atrractive.you'll see its kinda special too. it looks like an accesory. i want to have one too!!!!!!
