Are there really ghosts?

Yes, To put it simply Spirits and Ghosts (Spirits have gone forward to another plain, but ghosts are stuck on this plain) are a form of radiation manufactured by (in the case of vertebrates) the heart (new scientific discovery has proved the heart has a small 'brain' capacity), the spinal cord and the brain, This radiation holds what the brain holds, memories thoughts etc, but also the form of the body. (if you hit your thumb with a hammer, your thumb hurts, despite the pain registering in your brain), after death this imprint is left behind or 'matures' into something else.

A lot of scientists are now realising there could be something after all, Science cannot answer how an electical field can be sent around a body at speeds that are faster than normal, without 'leaking', imagine if your computer had a thin bit of flesh between the wiring and you!(although that is a different form of electrical impulse)

If you believe we know everything about everything in our universe, then the obvious answer would be No.

If you believe that there are a lot of things out there we know nothing about, that our world and the rest of space and time are full of mysteries we are a long way from solving, then the answer is not so simple.

I'll take door #2 Monty. Since I don't have any insight to the mysteries of life and death, I'm simply going to say that ghosts, defined as the spirits of dead people, are possible. If ghosts are real, I think they are people who don't know or can't admit they are dead and are trying to hang on this plane of existence.

YES there are! there is anything in the world that your mind believes. If you believe there are ghosts, than there are ghosts, if you believe some people are physic, then they are, if you believe you were a warrior in a previous life, then you were, If someone tells you something like they talked to a ghost, and they believe it, it would be easy for you to believe it also,.............as far as you know! I do not believe in ghosts, per se, but I do believe in demonic apparations wanting you to believe they are ghosts. The devil is the father of all lies, and making someone think their long-lost grandmother can be contacted from the dead is pure bunk, and one of the cruelest weapons in Satan's armory.

When people are gulible, they are open to legions of demons and either possession or at the very least, oppression. Stay away from the occult; you're dealing with fire, and you will get burned.

My wife and I were driving through the same village we had driven through twice each week for twenty years.
I stopped and let a car out of a side road.
Following him he turned right to go through some woods.
I followed since the short cut would reduce my journey by six miles.
Returning a couple of weeks later we could not find the road but we did find a lane heading north past the fence of an airfield.
Two weeks later we returned to find nothing but ploughed fields.
Twice something had picked up our car and moved it over the terrain we thought we were driving through.
Both lanes had disappeared.
My wife thought it was one of her two brothers killed in the war.
I thought it was my first girlfriend who went the same way.
Death is something we don't fear anymore.
The way death happens does.
We both fear nursing homes.
Retirement is the continuation of life with obstacles added.

No, the Bible says that the dead know nothing( Eccllesiastes 9:5-6). All people who died are in a state of sleep. I believe when peoople see ghosts (if they do), it is the devil, he is really smart and will do anything he can to shake your faith. Including taking the image of a ghost because he is not limited to one body like we are.

When my uncle and his brothers were kids they were each in turn awakened in the middle of the night one night by an old woman who disappeared when they got out of bed. Joining each other in the living room, they found that one of their mothers' muumuus had caught fire on a heater and the blaze was spreading. Make of this what you will.
When I was a teen, some friends of my moms were playing with a Ouija board in our living room. When I entered the room, they asked the spirit they were supposedly speaking with questions about me. One of the questions that was answered was very unlikely known to them. My fathers name, which I prompted them to ask. (Mind you, I was standing off to the side, all cynical). Ali Garutsali was the correct answer, and the "spirit" gave it, spelled correctly! After that, the board would only give "fire" as an anwer to any questions asked. Thinking nothing of it, I spent the night that night at a friends house around the corner. Our house was empty that night, we had no electricity or gas (hard times) and my mother was away as well. At 3am my house was ablaze, from a fire that appeared to have started in the kitchen, but to the fire departments puzzlement, its cause of ignition remained unexplained.
I swear on my freckles this story is absolutely true and you can make of it what you will.

Humans are made up of energy. When we die, that energy has to go somewhere. Are there ghosts? It depends on your concept of a ghost. My ghosts are random, uncaptured energy roaming the planet.

after years of paranormal investigation no one yet has come up with any solid proof of the existence of ghosts, the human soul, life after death, heaven or hell, poltergeists or the undead.
science should by now have dismissed this ludicrous superstition once and for all yet no one can be bothered because it is all a pile of old crap anyway.
