Why don't you call a local nursery and ask them when they would recommend transplanting. Normally, it's in the fall and there is much preparation before moving.

You need to have a pro do it. It would be difficult to transplant a mature tree successfully.

It's near to impossible to do, you have to be able to get enough of the tap root and roots run deep.
