what can I do to delete names from the search engines?

it is not just ur history.
go to tools, internet options. in the tabs at the top click on content. then click on auto complete. click on clear forms. all done!!!!

A software called McAfee QuickClean can delete names from the search engines.

you've been a bad girl. if you go onto the name of the previous search and hit the delete key. IE. if you type "the hun" all of your previous searches that start with "t" will come up, highlight the one and press the delete key. if this does not work contact me, i have a few more tricks.

did you mean the one ( addresses ) you type in the URL? then go to internet tools and clear history, but if you mean the one you typed below the URL ( the search box?) where the words you typed before automatically appears as you type the 1st letter,...just highlight each word then press delete in the keyboard and presto! hope this helps.

If you have Yahoo! toolbar, just click the blue down arrow, then "Options," "Clear Search History". If you're talking about on the actual site, like www.google.com, www.yahoo.com, etc., at the top of your screen, beneath the blue bar that tells you the title of the page you're at, click "Tools" >> "Internet Options" >> "Delete Cookies" >> OK. And while you're at it, you might as well do "Delete files >> check off "Delete Offline Content" >> OK >> OK.
