Will, our roadsweeper usually calls in for a cuppa and a coconut cake at the Whirlpool cafe. He came back saying his barrow had gone. Our search party found it sitting on a bus shelter! Isn't it time to teach yobs some respect for decent citizens like Will?

not yobs in Will's case - students. I plan to start a university-level class in Things That Are Neither Funny Nor Original, Actually. Would you or Will be willing to lead some of the tutorials?

Society knows what the yob culture are like (i mean yobs get enough media coverage on their crimes) so extra security measures is what Will should have done ie put his barrow in window view of the cafe he was in as so to see it was still there or maybe ask one of your kind neighbours to look after the barrow
whilst in the cafe.

What is the world coming to?

Yobs just aren't proper yobs these days.
Way back when they'd have pushed the barrow into the cut to sink in two feet of stagnant ooze, surrounded by old bike frames and black mud.

The problem is if you are a yob you are past the point of learning. The task is to find a way to end the creation of yobs. It's all about parenting and expectation.

aryThing like this are happening all the time, you tell me how we should teach these yobs and pond life as i call them, plus they always go around in groups (the cowards always need backup from their mates)The army is the only solution, compulsionary enlistment for at least 2 years it would break their poor little hearts, the toughest sergeant they could find and no mates to back them up they would be sh-----ng in 3 colours and then sent to the front where they can fight and bully just as much as they want.

If carrying guns were to be made legal in this country I'd be first in the queue at the gunsmiths, and then I'd go out and shoot as many of these bastards as I could get my sights on. The law does nothing, so it's about time ordinary citizens did - and all you do-gooders out there shove your do-goodness up your arseholes. The law doesn't work, so we've got to do something about it ourselves. What image does it give out when a copper does 159mph on a motorway and then gets away with it?

I'm impressed that you organised a search party for a barrow. But how do you know the barrow hadn't run away and was just waiting for a bus to escape to freedom when your search party recaptured it.

I agree. At least it hadn't been vandalised though, or thrown in a river (or something equally pointless). Some people have no respect-and it would never cross my mind to steal someones road cleaner, I mean really, how utterly ridiculous.

This sound like a plot from Last of the Summer Wine or something equally ridiculous.

i remember back in the early 1960's some end of term school leavers put the mini car of a particularly disliked teacher on the roof of the bike shed.........nobody saw a thing.
