I want to compare quality of products by Amana, GE, Frig., Whirlpool, Sears, Hotpoint. Do you know of a free website that does comparisons based on price and quality?

Search for the best price on the model you choose at:

Good luck with your shopping.

You need to check Consumer Reports, but keep in mind- Sears is Whirlpool, GE and Hotpoint are the same- One thing to keep in mind is location of the Burner Control knobs, when you use the Broiler, the door should be open- My Whirlpool Range melted the Knobs when I did that. The broiler is no longer in the bottom- its in the upper oven.

I can tell you that my family used a range made by Brown Stove Works for over 30 years. Never needed any adjustments or repairs .
After about 35 years the oven pilot would have to be frequently re lit and as we are getting older it became a chore to have to relight it. So the range was replaced.
