By different parents I mean if they were raised "differently" If they had abusive parents than different being non-abusive. If they were straight then gay. I guess no one really knows.

People may be born with "gay" or "straight" genetics... But we ultimately become what we choose to be. The choices we make are driven NOT ONLY by biological influences but ALSO by the conditioning of our environment. It's possible for a person who feels homosexual inclinations not to act on those inclinations and to practice heterosexuality because he or she was conditioned to believe homosexuality is immoral or unnatural... which it isn't. There are lots of documented cases of other animals engaging in homosexual activity... especially primates which are our closest relatives in the animal kingdom. For someone to say God doesn't make anyone homosexual is partly correct but it is also a slanted statement because it presupposes that God makes people heterosexual... and that is just as erroneous. What if we had a subject who was born with gay or straight genetics but chose to be celibate... Is he/she still gay or straight? It's a frickin' paradox... because behavior is driven by both internal and external stimuli... Nature and nurture. But if a person had parents who were more influential than his internal desires... it's possible the person might choose to not be act on his gayness and be hetero.

The urges and desires ARE NOT from birth. That's the most ignorant thing I've heard in awhile. God did not make anyone homosexual. It is just like with any temptation someone faces. You either overcome it and remain strong or you give in to your weakness. I'm sure there are instances where living in a certain environment may make the temptation stonger-such as growing up having a bad relationship with one's father-but overall it is just a temptation that unfortunately the world today is trying to justify as something people are "born" with.

Yes. Parents don't turn their children gay. I think it is in you when you grow up. I also remember reading an article stating that everybody has the potential to be gay, it is the point in our lives that we choose to pay more attention to the opposite sex or the same sex...remember the weirdness of changing for PE in JR HIGH and everybody checking everybody else out? That part can turn you on or gross you out.

Their has been scientific research on this and they believe that it is a gene that causes one to be homosexual. This was what I was taught in one of my psychology classes 3 years ago. What they think today I am not sure. I am sure they are still doing research.

I can say I have met homesexual people whom parents were straight or atleast they protray themselves this way.

Different parents like two straight people? It doesn't matter if they were raised be ten straight people if their chemistry is producing that urge then that is who they'll be. My problem is with people that keep switching -- one minute they are and the next minute they aren't. That means they are playing with diseases and some are permanent. I am comfortable with the ones that is comforatble with themselves.

I think so,I think people who are gay have some sort of haromone issues,I really do.I don't think people just wake up and decide I want to be gay you know?If you talk to one they would love to be straight.I don't think people choose to be this way I think they are born this way.Now sure you have those people who are curious,I don't know what to say about those people, because I believe either you are or you're not.

Yes, they would still be gay. How you were raised has nothing to do with it.
