I have read the entire series by VC Andrews
Flowers in the Attic . Petals on the Wind . If There Be Thorns . Seeds of Yesterday . Garden of Shadows (1979-1987) Did you know that the book Garden of Shadows was actually written after the others. She did it as a pre-quil to Flowers in the attic only because so many of her fans wanted to know the back story of the Family. Flowers in the Attic was good so was the sequel. There are still books being published under the name of VC Andrews even though she died years ago.

I thought Flowers was OK, read it as a teenager and would be interested to read it now that I'm older and wiser and better looking.
The other books in that series disturbed me though, with all the incest, and wicked children and what not.
What were they called? Petals in the wind? Spider in the web? something like that.

Even though it doesn't fall under my usual choices of genres, yes, I read FLOWERS IN THE ATTIC. First, I read GARDEN OF SHADOWS. In my opinion, V.C. Andrews is a good storyteller, but both books freaked me out! Thank goodness that stuff is fiction!

Oh yes, in the 80's when it first came out. I stopped after the fifth or sixth book so I'm way out of touch with the rest of the chapters!

Yes and I have most of her books. She is a very good author. Not to disturbing, but creepy and mysterious enough.

About a hundred years ago when I was a kid. I think I was about 8, so 23 years ago or so. Not a bad book, movie was ok too.
