After an soak, apply honey and bandage. Keep applying honey as you clean the wounds. Honey is naturally sterile, and will help minimize the scarring. Good luck.

Whoa! Ice cold water on a burn will possibly crack it, depending on the severity of the burn. You can run it under cool (not cold) water for a few minutes, or if you have Lavender essential oil put 10 drops per cup of water in a bowl of water and soak the burns in it for 20 minutes 3 times per day until the day after it is gone. I am at windstarhealing.com if you have any questions

24 years ago when I was pregnant and mowing my lawn outside Something flew from the lawn mower and I stupidley picked it up and burned the hell out of my hand and fingers It was the HOT muffler from lawn mower..a neighbor ran out side when she heard me scream and bought a bowl with EGG WHITES. She put it all over my burn and the pain went away and no bubbles or scars. To this day any burns my children got accidently as they were growing up or I got . Out comes the egg from the icebox and I would it apply to any burns (only egg white) . It stops the pain , heals, and prevents scars . Keep putting it on dont wipe it off let it dry on burns and apply several times a day. Eggs are raw protien and vitimins so it help heal and prevents scars ect. Try it !! WORKS LIKE MAGIC !

First, second or third degree burn? If you don't know - see a Doc.
First degree - aloe vera
second degree - aloe vera and bandages - keep it dry, don't break the blisters.
third degree - medical assisatnace - even if you think you've waited too long. Go to the clinic and let them treat and medicate you. They have some great stuff to speed healing and reduce scarring, but it is by prescription only.

use lots of aloe on the burn. If you have an aloe plant that's the best just break off a stem , open and rub on the area. or get aloe gel and put that on it. good luck hope it gets better soon the best time to use aloe is immediately after a burn

it's been my experiance with burns to keep cool compresses on the area to minimize the depth of the burning process, and to control the pain. don't pop the blisters, but if they already popped then you need to apply a burn cream, like silvadene, over the areas then cover with a sterile bandage. take something for pain. watch for signs of infection, reddness and sweling around the area,or yellow drainage. burns are painfull and take a long time to heal. see your Dr. or go to E.R.

Burn of the hands can be serious as can all burns with blisters or charring. If it is just pink no need to worry. If there are blisters or charring see a doctor immediately because of danger of infection.
