If I were going to b-t-h about my job, I wouldn't give any details that would give me away, including what part of country I lived in. Why is it so hard for otherwise adult people to maintain their own privacy, and then wonder what happened when they get called on it?

If you are getting in trouble at work, its due to the fact that someone there is watchin every move you make! There is no privacy on a work lan! They know who you are simply by the ip assigned to you or are watching your desktop!

Companies nowadays tends to monitor all the online activities of their employees so they know who beats the company security policies. They can go as far as all the web pages we've visited. Their only concern is that you are using the internet for work purposes and not personal activities such as video streaming, chatting, etc.

So don't be surprise if your manager or IT dept. knows about your personal details. They gave us the authority to use the internet in our workplaces so lets use it for the benefit of the company. If you have computer at home, you can do anything you want on the internet without restrictions.

Companies can look at the history of sites you have visited, monitor your activity and even read your emails if you aren't careful. This is why it is important to clean out the cookies, temp, cache and history from your computer. Better yet, surf from behind a cloaking site that will hide or mask your IP addres.

They can trace it back to the computer...the company has IT&S people who can monitor what you're doing. They know what's going on.

check the IP number and time from the internet provider.

because at work they monitor what sites u have been on and what gets typed into your computer..thats why it is called work
