No it's not necessary. I have met some impressive men who attracted me by being smart, funny, caring, spiritual, strong minded and/or articulate. Being handsome is fine but not if that person is shallow and has a mean spirit. I'll take an average looking guy or a slightly less than average looking guy who is a good person and has good personality traits.

Not necessary but just a bonus if you are handsome. The looks attract you to begin with but to impress you need to be funny and clever.

Uh, yes? I've been in a long term relationship, and I still think it is absolutely necessary. It isn't fair to the girl you like if you don't continue to keep yourself healthy. Would you honestly be attracted to a girl if she did not have a pretty face and a nice body? Girls may lie to you and say things like, "I think a good personality is the sexiest quality in a man", but if they do they are either very ugly, so hot they never have to deal with ugly guys, or they are full of ****. Or maybe ugly and full of ****? Anyways, go to your local gym, hire a trainer, and get your fat *** whipped into shape. Eat healthy. Sleep at least 9 hours a night. Go outside once in a while (a healthy tan never hurts). Shower to remove that "I don't give a damn" smell that girls most certainly do not love. Soon you will be on the road to banging the girl of your dreams

define impress. if you mean the "Wow" before you've ever said a word, yeah kind of... but there's always the tons of money impressor, in which case you don't have to be sexy. if you mean a girl you're talking to already, than not at all, there's always humor and intelligence. also, as much as we hate to admit it, we love it when guys have hot cars, it's not a deal breaker if you don't, but it is an "impress - factor".

only the shallow ones! A nice guinuine personallity does more than looks. Or it does for me, I have been told that I impressed a few ladies and I am not overly handsome........

nope, I'm butt ugly and I still manage to impress women. If you're not handsome though, you probably have to be extra smart or extra funny.
