they work great to keep leaves and other debris out,however after maybe 3 or 4 years you need to check to see if there are any locations in the gutter that is developing a dam of very fine roof gravel that washes off the roof slowly over time (which is normal). this will happen at the bottom of roof valleys in most cases or at a seam in the gutter.the gutter sales/estimator or installer will deny this but its a fact. they are a worthy investment if you don't want to clean your gutters so frequently. if you have no trees in your yard or near enough to deposit leaves etc on you house then absolutely do not waste your money because it will be preventing nothing from clogging your gutters. i work on existing homes everyday and observe the same on a daily bases.
