what time are the ice cream vans supposed to stop playing the chimes at night in the uk,i'm sure it was 70clock

11.00 pm and noise must be below 105db at all times

The one round our way plays its chimes at 9:30 at night. Surely all the kids are in bed by then??!!

I'm not sure but I think its more like 8pm.
Personally I think they sould be allowed to play all the time provided they don't scare babies. Life is nasty enough without being reminded of the fact the ice cream man has gone and you can't have a 99...

i don`t know but the one at my bit comes and plays the chime at bloody 9.30 at night when all the kids are in bed and it wakens them up....it pis*es me off!!!!

same time as you arent allowed to sound your horn in a built up area which i think is 10.30pm
