Humor helps relieve tension. Jokes and skits are fun to do. If I understand properly, it sounds as if you have invited a group of people over for coffee/tea, and you'd like to play some funny games.
My favorite is called "Sherades" It is a game that you "act out the descriptions on paper." Have your group write different things on small pieces of paper, and fold them up. Things like, dog, or lamp, or movie titles like, "Shall we Dance?" or titles of songs...have fun with it. Then have each person--one at a time--pick one out of the bowl and act it out. The first one to guess gets the most correct wins a prize. (You can have funny prizes.)
These games are called "Party Games" and I have enclosed some links that might help you. Have fun, and keep laughing. This is what life is about, isn't it!?

Honey, you either *feel* what's funny or you don't. There's dry humor, slapstick humor, all sorts of humor.
I'd go over the top doing some slapstick humor, some parodies maybe? A comedic parody is basically what you create when you imitate something in such a way as to imply it is funny, not sad or whatever else it is normally perceived to be. But I'm a dry humor sort and a bit morbid or goth....
I think a funny skit that would show your friends how to laugh (and why) would include some small amount of parodying things they relate to and a humorous way to overcome each one. You have to be careful what *situations* you pick: the safest route would be to overplay bad habits and then to show what FUNNY thing could happen if they continue with the habits and then show a FUNNY resolution that leaves everyone laughing about themselves in a GOOD way. The only tears that should be falling in the audience should be from laughing too hard.
Some bad habits most people have are: talking meanly about others/gossip; lying; pretention;; snobbery; overeating--those have some potential for funniness if done in the right spirit. SNL and Mad TV do it all the time.
Write down your skits or discuss these with whoever is helping you do the skits first. They might have another idea. Good luck!

if you don't laugh, you cry. it's better to laugh at your lot in life than to sucumb to sorrow. laughter keeps you going, and reminds you that you are not alone in misfortunes. there are good days, there are bad days. put the bad days in perspective, and enjoy the good ones. pass it on to others as well, because they will have some bad days as well that will pass if they just wait long enough.
