Questioning your motives just means you're conscientious.

The bottom line is that what she is doing is illegal and constitutes child endangerment.

If she wants to be mad and blame you and cite your breakup, that's just where she is. The important thing is that there is a four year old child who cannot speak up for himself who is being left alone at night and being exposed to drugs and raised by a mom under the influence.

You have the opportunity to make his life better. No matter what has happened in your relationship with his mom, he - and his future - are now the central issue.

Ah the story is fitting together. People do get hurt when they love someone and that person is doing bad things. You said she will lose nearly everything. Seems to me she lost everything a long time ago when she gave up on caring. She needs help. You have to choose whether or not you are willing to stay and try to help her or walk away. Me or nobody else can make that decision but you. Like I always say. Go with your gut instincts.

You should still report when you are sure the child is alone!! Admit your complicity! It makes it more credible! I don't care about your motives or her tanking her life! The helpless child Is the only one who matters at this time! You two can have your pity party at a later time in rehab!!

Report her Daniel. It is the right thing and some day she will thank you in her heart of hearts, even if never out loud.

You need to report her. If you have any values or morals at all, think of the child and do something that you know needs to be done.......for the child's sake.....
