I use the latest MSNTV2 with cable broadband on a daily basis. It’s great reading the custom newspaper created with My Yahoo in my home theater while watching / listening to the Today Show using Picture in Picture.

Recently sold my Sony Webtv Plus – not easy to do - I’ve been with Webtv since 1997. Some idiot at Microsoft decided it was a good idea to require separate keyboards yet duplicate several Webtv infrared codes on the new MSNTV2 keyboard – making it very difficult to own both. I got tired of physically blocking / unblocking the infrared eyes on the two boxes.

With MSNTV2 there is no access to the discussion groups at alt.discuss, no personal web page equivalent to the webtv Page Builder, and you cannot create a custom HTML email signature,

However MSNTV2 is lightning fast. Internet Video playback is comparable to VHS or even Standard Definition television. Most of my friends have migrated to other discussion forums and HTML email signatures are a promised upgrade.

I would still recommend Webtv for those wanting a simplified internet experience with no threat of viruses, worms, trojans, etc.

The MSNTV2 fits my wireless home network and custom home theater.

I try to answer most webtv questions here at Yahoo Answers.

My girlfriends mom has webtv on a 72" bigscreen.
If it wasn't for the large picture (even the PIP is 25"), I would never use it...
WAYYY too slow.
I have XP with AT&T DSL Elite...
