If it were necessary then unnecessary would be unnecessarily difficult to spell. Being necessarily unnecessary or unnecessarily necessary to be necessarily easy to spell is neither here nor there. If you can understand any of that, let me know how!

The purists (specifically the British) among English speakers say we should continue the outmoded, non-phonetic spelling standards of the past. Others contend that we should make English spelling phonetic and easier. I think you are starting to think like this second group. If you continue to ask questions like this, you will no doubt be able to answer your own question, and my guess is that you'd say: Absolutely not, it is not nesesary that we use outmoded spelling standards...Good luck in your quest to change the standards, however. These two groups have been fighting like the Arabs and Israelis for close to a hundred years and neither will give an inch. (If it's any consolation, I agree with you, unnesesary it is.)

Just think of it like this...un - necessary
two separate words means you need 2 'n's
then think of a shirt - it has 1 collar and 2 sleeves - meaning 1 c and 2 s

This makes it easier to remember. I also try to sound out a word in my head the way it is spelt. eg Friend would sound like fry-end, to help me remember which way round the i and e go.

It's not hard - just add an "un" to necessary, which you evidently don't find hard.
