Plano, Spanish word for flat. The 9th largest city in Texas and home to many corporate headquarters of some of the largest and most recognized names in the US. Plano is located in Collin County, the richest town in Texas, and extends into Denton County, a suburb of Dallas. The city accepted the name Plano after several nominations which included naming the town after President Filmore.
