Should Thane be counted under Mumbai as one city together or should it have its own identity??and why??

It should be treated as one city since it is contiguous. It will help control crime and maintain law and order under one hierarchy.

Mumbai and Thane are growing fast
Mumbai is know to the world from those days onward
if Thane id joined to it means Thane gets a chance to share a pie from that old name. But its all depends upon the wish of locals
