I know a few people who are in them and they seem fine...Personally, no one tells me what to do and had my mother lets say tried to sit me up, it wouldn't happen.....

Asking a question at wrong place and getting wrong answers, this type of marriages are in india only, and u know how much success they are, So why u are asking to the people who dont know about this, and belives in love marriages only, thus keep changing the lifepartner like clothes, even not thinking about kids.Poorly selfish and materialistic.

Prefer love. But, arranged marriages are just made out to be this huge deal. They aren't. If you are fine with it, I see no problems. It's just a matter of preference

it was accepted in the olden times to either preserve the wealth of the family or to preserve the race or some primordial reason. but on the modern context is just so cruel. in the day and age, where people freely express themselves, arranged marriages are just passe and impractical. we're talking about the rest of your life, you better be the one to choose who to spend it with

It may works better in the older days. But nowadays, people should have more freedom to explore and discover other potential mates by themselves at the time table they feel comfortable with.
