I am not born into a rich family but if I was I would feel lucky ofcourse..have servants..do what u want, when u want...u get all the things u ever want in ur life. But the downside is that u tend to lose ur own skills to be independent. Not all of them but some just get lazier and lazier expecting others to do everything for them. If u work hard and u get what u want, it increaes ur self-esteem and u feel more better.

Sure it sounds like a dumb question, but theres actually a lot of scientific survey evidence that while a certain level of wealth does make people happier, any more than that translates to 0 extra happiness and in some cases, less.

Many studies show that people need enough money to cover all their immediate and future financial security needs (retirement, college tuition, child care, basic spending etc) without worry about active income (ie they feel they can live comfortably on passive income like real estate, investments, interest etc). Once that is assured, the excess does them no good.

Look at Bill Gates and Warren Buffett- the guys together are richer than God but decided to give some $80B to charity- why? cuz theres no way they can spend that much, they dont feel it makes them any happier, and they are more satisfied to use it to help others. Its an interesting behavioral science case study.

I'd much rather start poor, yet not excluding the fact of being rich later. Usually so-called rich people are rich in material and fortune, but only so. While, on the other hand, poor people usually have a higher sense of value, grateful feeling when they get something as simple as shoes, love, etc. So, in other words, "rich" is a very subjective word! I'd much rather be poor financially and be rich in my true needs than being rich with money and poor with love and such.

Thanks for reading and hope it helped.

Not particularly because everyone gets used to the position they're in. If you eat caviare every day you will be unhappy because there is a more tasty sort and you aren't getting any.
