I lost my wallet some time ago. And it had all my info and stuff in it, Drivers Linence, SS card, etc. And i cant seem to find it. I was wondering do you need a ID to get an SSI check cashed?

Go to a teller or a bank manager that knows you. Tell them you need to cash your check to get your replacement ID. If you have something like a phone bill, electric bill or even the lease agreement they may accept that. You can bring in the form that shows you get paid this much for SSI. Do you have a passport? That should also work.

Of course. Unless the bank teller knows you real well, it''s very risky for them to cash a check without an ID. The teller can be fired.

I don't know how your state works as far as replacing drivers license's. But in Michigan, you have to supply some sort if ID (birth certificate, SS card, utility bill...). They give you a temporary permit until your license is mailed to you. But that temp permit may be accepted by the bank.

Yes-You need to go to your local SS office first and get your ss card-call first to see what you need for idenity. You also need your Birth certificate which cost$ but you only have to provide the necessary information they need to process it. then get your driver's license back with those two forms of ID. good luck!!

you can obtain another photo id by going to your local dmv and getting one. the cost is minimal, but at least you will have one.
