They want a forum in which they can freely speak their minds and make their statements condemning and judging those who they disagree with. While they do have this right, I agree that it is pointless attacks against people. They sometimes think that they might "convert" someone through fear and God speak. But as a Christian myself I know the Bible and know they are as guilty of sin as everyone else. And so the bottom line here is that they are attacking what they don't understand and what they fear.

Why they come into the GLBT bit beats the hell out of me and their abuse is very much uncalled for but they don't care how upsetting and nasty their comments can be/are. I agree with you 100% and I say f*** 'em.

I think they largely come into the GLBT (or LGBT) section out of curiosity. Perhaps they think this is a pickup site or something like that -- or they just want to know what GLBT people talk about.
There are zealots out there though, who don't really have a clue into basic human psychology (all around, for anyone or any group) and just like to harass people who they perceive are different than them. They would be shocked at how many of their friends and relatives are actually GLBT though, wouldn't they? I think too, some of them are actually gay or bi and to harass GLBT people on this site is a form of self-hate release for themselves. Then again, there are other visitors to just about any section who are negative and judgmental -- the internet opens up a whole new world to spew their nastiness on other people.

Funny, I just saw one complaining about the Atheists in the Religion and Spirituality community. If they're in this community, they are protesting, and trying to present a different point of view. No topic in this forum "belongs" to any one group. The only thing I can suggest is to report abuse.

A turd is as a turd does. A ho is as a ho does. Christianity is simply a cult. It's the ultimate lobotomy. Heterosexuals sure love to have them some of that drug called Christianity. With it, Christianity allows Christians to think that they are better than other people and everybody else. That's the sense of euphoria a Christian gets. Christianty produce self-righteous egomaniacs, i.e. heterosexuals and white people and northern Asian people (Orientals, no offense).

They think it is their duty to 'save'and 'convert'. Sadly they don't realize that they are the ones who are sinning."Judge not lest ye be judged."
They don't get and will never get that homosexuality is not a sin.
And then there are some who are closet homosexuals so they are actually arguing with themselves when they come here.

They don't hate gays, they hate homosexuality. If these christians follow the very religious guidelines/standards, then they don't hate anyone. They just hate the sin itself, not necessarily the person.
So they just do what they think is right, they preach, even if their attitude may sometimes appear offensive.
But lots of times, it's not even like you describe it: nasty and rude. Sometimes, it's just the natural defensiveness of homosexuals that make it seem that way.
