Because we have become a society that calls evil good and what is good, evil. For example, there are people that want to legalize child molestation as a "right, " and yet, we who consider that to be wrong are labeled bigots and right-wing wackos.
Until we, as a nation, return to the Judeo-Christian values on which this country was founded, we will continue to speed down down the bloody, slippery slope that other "civilizations" had fallen into; Rome, Greece, Babylon, Egypt and Assyria, to name but a few. They all were the most powerful nations at one time, but they succumbed to the vile and disgusting and were destroyed as a result. An immoral society is soon a dead society. When everything goes, everything soon goes away.

Perverts, criminals, weirdos, etc. have been around forever everwhere! Europe, Africa, Asia, North America. It is not a new discovery. I do believe, however, that with easy internet access, these people will be more active. They all suffer from mental illnesses. Many go through life unnoticed. They could be your neighbor, uncle, best friend, pastor, mayor, teacher... I think most are men. I mean, when is the last time you have heard about a woman kidnapping victims, sexually assaulting them, torturing them, dismembering them, and then dumping them in a forest or on the side of a highway? I think when women are involved in this sick behavior, they have an accomplice...a man. I wish that we could be rid of these type of people, but to do that we would have to define what is unacceptable, sick, wrong. Then we would have to come up with a plan that would work to be rid of these people. It all sounds so easy. But its not. You will have people say that it is unjust. Or predjudicial. So, we just have to go through life cautious. Both eyes open.

Because you buy into the news reports. For every pervert story in the news, there are thousands of uncovered stories about human kindness and what not.

it's got a large population and the news isn't hushed up. It may be that there are even more nasty minded people in China (just for example) but their society is more cut off and we don't have day to day knowledge of them. In the US no news seems to be kept from the public.

they are not only in the USA they are all over the world i wish they will disappear they make it hard for the people nobody can feel safe anymore
